Home Our Church History

After nearly 35 years of a very successful ministry at one of Morganton's older churches, a number of people realized along with Pastor Taber that a new, challenging and exciting work laid ahead for us. We did not want to lose our vision for growth and obedience to the Great Commission. Thus in August 2010, a large number of the people who were dissatisfied with the current attitude, left to form a new work "Blessed Hope Fellowship" where they could emphasize genuine Love for one another and reach out to the unchurched and dissatisfied church members in our community without partiality. Pastor Taber was asked to lead this new work due to his many successful years of ministry and vision to do the work of God! It is our deepest desire to be led by the Holy Spirit in ALL that we do to His Honor and Glory! We will soon have finished our third year of ministry and God continues to bless our Fellowship! As part of our Fellowship, you will find Pastor Taber will be with you when ever and where ever you need him. He is a true Minister on call 24/7.

We are privileged to have a new place of Worship, the old Stone Church, 215 Erwin Street, Morganton. Blessed Hope Fellowship is a very faithful and loving congregation. They try very hard to be faithful to Jesus. We accept the Bible as being the only inspired word of God, believe that we should carry each others burdens and are committed to doing whatever we can to bring others to Christ. Our worship hour is relaxed and enthusiastic with a mixture of music that ranges from old favorites to new choruses. The atmosphere is so relaxed that people are rarely concerned about how others dress. We are so thankful to pastors, churches and others who have given us a pulpit, hymn books, communion set, chorus books, piano, organ along with the support and prayers of hundreds and hundreds of friends.

We have a warm, loving, caring nucleus of people - a true "Community of Caring Christians" - interested in reaching our World for Christ in obedience to the commands of our Lord!

We are a member church of the Advent Christian General Conference.
